Join us for the Community Climate Action Day – Oakland, a volunteer service event and celebration hosted in collaboration with HandsOn Bay Area, Mayor Libby Schaaf and Oakland community organizations!

Event check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. with a kickoff at 9 a.m. at Liberation Park, with featured speakers California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday and Mayor Libby Schaaf. Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and light breakfast before departing for their service projects, which start at 10 a.m.

Service projects include:

  • Brush thinning and removal for wildfire resilience.
  • Tree planting.
  • Community outreach and canvassing.
  • And more!

Service projects end at 12:30 p.m., followed by a free lunch, music and fun! The event ends at 2 p.m.
