Grant Description

The 2024 College Corps Expansion and Workforce Pilot Funding Opportunity seeks to fund one or more eligible applicants to build upon applicant program design awarded under the 2024 College Corps Request for Applications for eligible applicant(s) to: 1) Expand College Corps programming in under-resourced San Joaquin Valley communities to engage up to 50-66 additional Fellows; and 2) Develop and implement a comprehensive workforce and career development strategy for junior and senior College Corps participants.

Funds available under this opportunity are awarded on a competitive basis to eligible organizations that adequately address the selection criteria identified in this Request for Applications.

Eligible Applicants

Organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for this opportunity:

• Applicants must be an institution of higher education (2 CFR §200.55) and must have a valid SAM registration and Unique Entity Identifier to receive an award.
• Be the legal applicant of a current California Volunteers College Corps program that has also been approved to operate through 2026
• Have capacity to expand their 2024-25 cohort by at least 50 to 66 slots as evidenced by hosting a cohort of the equivalent size or similar in previous grant cycles
• Have capacity to expand College Corps student participation in Metropolitan Fresno, officially Fresno-Madera, CA CSA.
• Have capacity to expand staff support (directly or through subcontracting) to implement the career/workforce development strategy delineated through the planning period
• All applicants must apply for both grants; applicants requesting only planning or only operating/expansion funds will not be considered for this opportunity.
