California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday Issues Statement on President Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program

SACRAMENTO, CA – California Chief Service Officer Josh Fryday issued the following statement on President Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program:

“President Biden’s plan for debt forgiveness is a huge statement about how urgent our student debt crisis is, and a recognition we need to do more to make college affordable and accessible for all.

“In California, college students have even more opportunity to graduate debt-free with programs like the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps. This first-of-its-kind initiative allows students to earn $10,000 for their education while working on critical issues for our state like education, food insecurity and climate.

“We are just weeks away from swearing in the inaugural class of over 3,000 College Corps Fellows across the state who are stepping up to make a positive impact in their local communities.”
